October 2-3, 2019 - Panhandle Fruit and Vegetable Conference

This two-day educational event is located at the Emerald Coast Convention Center in Fort Walton Beach, hosted by UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County. The conference is on October 2, and the farm tour will on October 3. Come learn about Marketing and Business, Fruit and Nut Production, Alternative Enterprises and Vegetable Production. Network with other farmers, industry leaders, and learn about the latest findings to help your business grow. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite and include admission plus meals. Program costs are as follows: Conference + Tour $55.00 + fee, Conference only $45.00 + fee, and Tour only $25.00 + fee. To register online click here. October 22, 2019 - Agri-Business (in Spanish)

The UF/IFAS Extension offices in Oceola, Orange and Miami-Dade Counties are pleased to host this course in Spanish to assist individuals starting a new business as well as for small business owners wishing to improve their skills. The class is from 8:45 am until 12:30 pm. Refreshments included. The agenda inludes: Type of Business, Licenses/Registrations, Business Plans, Budgets and Record-keeping, Taxes and Marketing.
